At the Vindhyas, normally
when the food arrives, not a single word is spoken
during the entire meal; it is just appreciative
nods all the way. This time it is going to be
a flavour explosion in the mouth-a burst of chilies
and black pepper, mingling with the aroma of curry
leaves and mustard seeds.

Welcome to the Chettinad Food festival-
a rich and bold culinary statement- at the Vindhyas
from 9th to 18th March from 1930 hours to 2345
hours. The menu contains some of the best
mouth-watering delicacies. For main course, non-vegetarians
can choose from a wide choice of mutton, fish
and chicken preparations. Vegetarians too have
a range of dishes to pick from. Experience the
famous varuval, a dry dish prepared with either
fish, chicken or vegetables fried with onions
and spices, the tingling dry chicken pepper fry,
delicate noodle-like preparations, sun-dried preserved
legumes that are made into curries, poriyal, a
curry, and the inimitable kuzhambu, a gravy of
coconut milk and spices
