Presenting for you some of the traditional
Hyderabadi dishes which were served 400 years ago and are still served
today.
Dear Patron,
The Hyderabadi cuisine, like its culture, has stood high and unmatched
by any other state in India. The cuisine reflects the rich taste and
diversity of Nizam's kingdom; it combines the very best of Kebabs,
pilafs, kormas and yoghurt dishes, richly enhanced with aromatic and
spicy flavorings of the southern India.
Welcome to Hyderabadi Food Festival.

What makes the Hyderabadi Cuisine special is the
use of special ingredients, carefully chosen and cooked to the right
degree. The addition of certain herbs, spices, condiments or an
amalgam of these renders a unique taste and texture to the dish.
The menu presented here would include the all time popular and favourite
dishes of the Hyderabadi cuisine, namely - Lukumi, Chippe Ka Gosht,
Bagahara Baingan, Tomato Kut, Methi Murgh, Kacche Gosht Ki Biryani,
Haleem, Salan, Dahi ke Kofte, Nihari, Sheermal, Double ka meetha
etc
And the décor at the venue, the Vindhyas,
with Charminar at the entrance as a gate, chandliers, velvet &
golden tissue drapes, hookahs, surahis for serving water, chudi
wala - lakh maker, mehendi, special candle stands, portraits of
Nizams, statue of elephants, swords and shields, spears, animal
head shields would make you wonder whether you are really in Hyderabad!
To render the whole event more musical you will be treated to
live ghazals too.
Welcomingly
yours,
*******
You are a true Hyderabadi if you ask the waiter to get you some
'Mango pickle' even if you are sitting at a lavish continental banquet
dinner with exotic Chinese, Mexican, Italian and Lebanese cuisines
or if you order for a tea just after having had a caramel custard.
